Emilia stood in the entrance hall of the club, sunlight streaming through the tall windows. The city outside called to her, but her eyes were only on Dominic. He watched her, his expression open and uncertain for the first time since they’d met.
She felt nerves flutter in her chest, but this time it was excitement, not fear. The air between them was thick with everything unspoken—the risks, the promises, the possibility of something lasting.
Dominic took a step toward her. “You don’t have to decide right now. I know this is a lot.”
Emilia shook her head. “I want to decide. I need you to know what I want.”
He waited, patient and still.
She swallowed, gathering her courage. “I want you. Not just the club, not just one night. I want everything—whatever that means. I want to figure it out with you.”
Dominic’s relief was clear. He crossed the space between them and took her face in his hands, his touch gentle but certain. “You have me,” he said. “All of me.”
Emilia smiled, tears stinging at the corners of her eyes. She leaned into his touch, feeling the truth of it in every word, every look.
He brushed her hair back, his voice rough with emotion. “I don’t care about the club, the rules, any of it. I care about you.”
She rested her forehead against his, letting herself feel the weight and wonder of being chosen.
Outside, the world moved on, but inside, it was just the two of them. Dominic kissed her, slow and deep, pouring all his feelings into that one touch. Emilia wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close, not caring who saw or what anyone thought.
When they broke apart, Dominic’s smile was wide, unguarded. “Come with me,” he whispered.
He led her back through the club, past the velvet curtains and quiet tables, up the stairs to his suite. The day’s light filled the room as he closed the door behind them.
This time, their lovemaking was different. There was urgency, yes, but also laughter, whispered confessions, a kind of joy that came from knowing the choice had been made. They shed the last of their defences with their clothes, exploring each other with new confidence and trust.
Emilia felt free, her doubts replaced with certainty. She let herself be seen, known, and loved without reservation. Dominic matched her in every way, attentive and open, giving as much as he took.
They lost themselves in each other, the lines between bodies and hearts blurring until there was only pleasure and belonging. When they finally lay together, breathless and tangled, Emilia pressed her cheek against Dominic’s chest and listened to the steady beat of his heart.
For the first time in her life, she felt completely at home.
Dominic stroked her hair. “Whatever happens next, we face it together.”
Emilia smiled, her fingers tracing his skin. “Together.”
Outside, London carried on. Inside, a new chapter had begun.
The decision was made. And it was everything she never knew she needed.
